Introducing the Don Berry Staff Endowment Fund
Over the course of 30 years, former LRCT President Don Berry’s participation in and leadership of the Lakes Region Conservation Trust have been instrumental in growing the organization to where it is today. To honor Don’s legacy, we are pleased to introduce you to the Don Berry Staff Endowment Fund.
The fund will support LRCT’s present and future staff, and is intended to grow as the organization and its workload expand, ensuring the capacity needed to steward the nearly 30,000 acres of land protected by LRCT and to continue conserving new lands across the Lakes Region.
MATCHING CHALLENGE
We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support for the Don Berry Staff Endowment Fund. After announcing the fund this past spring, we’ve received generous donations from our community, including an incredible matching challenge we’re excited to announce:
The Steinwachs Family Foundation, the Sarles Family, and an additional donor family have pledged to match donations dollar-for-dollar, up to $270,000, to help achieve the fund’s goal of $1.5 million. This matching challenge was inspired to encourage others to support our greatest resource in conservation: our staff. Please consider donating to help us reach our goal by the end of the year. There are many ways you can help grow the Don Berry Staff Endowment:
