The Lakes Region Conservation Trust is pleased to announce the acquisition of the 26-acre Myers family property along the Red Hill River in Sandwich. This project conserves valuable natural habitat and climate change resilient lands, protects 2,000 feet of frontage along the Red Hill River and water quality in the River, provides opportunities of walking and nature observation, and preserves historic resources. In addition, the project expands LRCT’s 416-acre Red Hill River Conservation Area, which abuts the 176-acre Myers-Schneider property on which the Town of Sandwich holds a conservation easement, resulting in a 618-acre unfragmented area along the Red Hill River and its tributaries.
Thank you all for the generous support in the completion of this project!
