2018 Conservation Land Stewards
In May of 2018 LRCT enthusiastically welcomed its first Lakes Region Conservation Corps (LRCC) service members.

Katie Durkin
My name’s Katie and I’m from Lowell, MA and I graduated last May with a BS in Wildlife Multimedia Journalism. I love exploring and being outside in the natural beauty of the world. While I’m enjoying the outdoors, I document what I see through photography and videography, and I update my online blog with all my findings. I am thrilled to be a part of a group that is helping protect what I love.

Dan Holbrook
Hello my name is Dan Holbrook and I am originally from Newburyport, MA. I attended Westfield State University for four years and have graduated in 2017 with a degree in Regional Planning and Environmental Science. I am proud to be serving with the Lakes Region Conservation Trust until October! In my spare time, I love to be kayaking, swimming, and hiking. Don’t be shy to say hi if you see me on Ragged Island or at the summit of Mount Roberts!

Rachele Mason
I am from Belvidere, NJ and graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in May of 2017. I studied Wildlife Conservation and Management at Delaware Valley University in Doylestown, PA. My passions are hiking, drawing, and learning something new every day! I am so excited to be serving with AmeriCorps in the beautiful Lakes Region of New Hampshire.

Andrew Moriarty
I am from Southern Maine. I graduated from the University of New Hampshire in the spring of 2018 with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Conservation and Sustainability. I love to be outside and out on the water whether it’s fresh or salt. If I’m not out on the trails or the water, you will most likely find me with a book in hand (not one of those E-reader things, call me old fashioned).

Maria Nappi
I grew up in Freeport, ME, I then moved to Salt Lake City, Utah to attend Westminster College where I graduated with a degree in environmental science in 2018. My passions are telemark skiing, surfing, mountain biking and camping. I am stoked to explore and improve the trails around this beautiful part of New England.

Tara Wreblis
I’m a 22 year old recent graduate from Adrian College in Michigan with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies/Science and History. I have a vast love for the outdoors, especially the mountains, and my life goal is to work in Glacier National Park.
