Blanchard Island is a 2-acre, undeveloped island, located in the outer Green’s Basin area at the northernmost end of Lake Winnipesaukee in Moultonborough. LRCT purchased the island in 2001.
The island is covered with a mixture of northern hardwoods and softwoods. Red Hill, the Ossipee Mountains, and the Sandwich Range are visible from the island. The island has two small beaches, a dock for visiting boaters, and more than 1,000 feet of shore frontage.
LRCT has created a waterproof paddle map that features Blanchard Island, along with four other island properties.
You can learn more about our paddle maps here.
The island is accessible by canoe, kayak, or other boat from the Lee’s Mills public launch site located about a mile to the northeast. There is a dock for motorboats and a small area near the dock where apprx. 2 – 3 canoes or kayaks can land.
Please note there’s a 3 hour docking limit.
