Invasive Plant Removal at Eastern and Western Field Preserves
About This Event:
Our Lakes Region Conservation Corps (LRCC) Members would love some help removing invasive plant species at LRCT’s Eastern and Western Field Preserves in Tamworth. We will be working to remove Japanese Knotweed, and Multiflora Rose just to name a few. Lakes Region Conservation Corps members will train you to spot the invasive species and how to pull and dispose of them properly, to help prevent them from spreading.
We will be working from 9 to 12 pm and 12:30 to 3:30 pm.
What to Bring:
Snacks and lunch, plenty of water, bug spray, sunscreen, closed-toed shoes, work gloves, and a positive attitude!
In addition, if you have your own pair of loppers, hand saw, or weed wrench that would be great to bring along too!
Wednesday, July 24, 2019, from 9 to 12 pm and 12:30 to 3:30 pm. Come for one shift or stay the whole day.
