This beautiful piece of nature nestled within the bustling Wolfeboro community provides recreation of all kinds including running trails, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and walking. One area in particular has slowly been taken over by several varieties of invasive species including multiflora rose, bittersweet, and Japanese barberry, however, new species such as Japanese knotweed and garlic mustard have also started to sprout up.
LRCT has developed a long-term management plan to address the most highly affected areas. Working with partners such as Pathways of Wolfeboro and the Wolfeboro XC Ski Association, LRCT plans to reclaim an old meadow which is full of native apple trees, but we need your help to keep this area contained.
We will provide light refreshments and the tools needed for the day.
