Saturday, October 5th
9 AM until about 1:30 PM
(picnic 12:30 – 1:30)
After a delightful summer and busy Labor Day weekend, we are starting to see some of the tupulo leaves start to turn red, indicating that our beautiful fall days are upon us. The Lake is still pleasant at around 70 degrees, but our succulent blueberries are mostly gone. We have taken an inventory around the island and have a few projects which need some attention this fall. We hope that you can join us for the workday!
- Repair/replace some stringers/decking on the boardwalk towards the north end of the island
- Build/paint a new picnic table
- Pull in swim lines
- Trail work near signposts 8 and 9 (large limb down on signpost 9 and better trail definition near signpost 8)
- Move benches onto the porch
