Mt Roberts Hike
9 AM – 2:30 PM
Join us for our guided hike up Mt. Roberts in The Castle in the Clouds Conservation Area in Moultonborough on Friday, August 16th at 9 am! Guided Excursion Leader and AmeriCorps Member, Micaelie O’Hare will lead participants up this rewarding hike with multiple viewpoints that look out toward Squam Lake and Lake Winnipesaukee, while exploring the beautiful flora surrounding the trail.
This is an out and back hike with a round-trip distance of approximately 5.2 miles. Participants will gain 1,362’ in elevation while hiking up to the peak, which stands at 2,570’. This is a strenuous hike and please keep in mind that weather conditions on that day may affect the difficulty. Along the way, participants will stop at the multiple viewpoints that has earned Mt. Roberts a spot on New Hampshire’s list of “52-With-A-View” and will take a lunch break toward the peak.
We ask that participants arrive by 8:45 am to ensure everyone is registered and prepared to depart at 9:00 am. There will be a half-hour lunch break near the summit, and we will return by approximately 2:30 pm.
We will meet at the hiker’s parking lot on Ossipee Park Rd located here.
All LRCT Guided Excursions are free to all.
Bring plenty of water, lunch, and snacks. Wear hiking boots/appropriate trail footwear and dress appropriately for the weather. Many will find poles useful, particularly during steep descents.
