Bridge Prep
Join our LRCT and Newfound Lake Region Association (NLRA) LRCC members at the Sugarloaf Ridge-Goose Pond Conservation Area to hike in materials for a new bridge. We will be transporting the materials roughly a 1/2 mile from the Wellington State Park Parking area to a location on the Around the Pond Trail. The trail to the site contains inclines and uneven terrain.
Once all the materials have been moved, we will prep the site for the bridge by cleaning up woody debris and moving rocks.
What to Bring:
- Work gloves
- Water & snacks
- Insect/tick spray and sunscreen
- Long pants/hat
- Close-toed shoes
Time:
- 9:00 am – 12:30 pm
Volunteers are welcome to stay later than 12:30 if they would like.
