Invasive Species Pull at Shannon Pond
Join the Lakes Region Conservation Trust for a day of invasive species removal near Shannon Pond at Castle in the Clouds Conservation Area in Moultonborough. In close proximity to the Ossipee Mountain range and Castle in the Clouds, Shannon Pond is situated within an area rich in natural resources and historical value. The work day will be led by our Lakes Region Conservation Corps (LRCC) members who will demonstrate how to spot and effectively remove invasive plants.
What to Bring:
- Work gloves
- Tools for digging roots
- Water, lunch, & snacks
- Insect/tick spray and sunscreen
- Long pants/hat
- Close-toed shoes
- 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
- 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm
Join us in the morning, afternoon, or all day! LRCT AmeriCorps members will meet you by the pavilions next to Shannon Pond.
