The Lakes Region Conservation Trust is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the conservation of the Castle in the Clouds Conservation Area in Moultonborough! Join us this summer on one of our guided hikes to explore this beautiful conserved land!
Grab your binoculars and join us on Friday, July 8th at 8:00am for a guided birding hike up to the Lower Bridle Path viewpoint at Castle in the Clouds Conservation Area. LRCT Trustee Rhys Bowen will lead participants as we look and listen for many of the breeding birds of New Hampshire at the peak of their nesting season. The total mileage will be about 2-3 miles. The trail is rated moderate.
Registration: Registration is required for this event. Please complete our Google Form by clicking the “Sign Up” button below. You will receive a confirmation email, which may take 1-3 days.
Bring/Wear: We ask that participants wear sturdy, waterproof footwear for uneven terrain. Bring water, snacks, and dress appropriately for the weather. You may consider bringing insect repellent and sunscreen. Don’t forget to bring your binoculars!
Cost: All LRCT guided events are free
Children’s Participation: Please check in with us in advance if you are considering bringing young children on a guided excursion to ensure the trip is appropriate for their skill level.
Dog Policy: To ensure the safety and comfort of participants, we are not able to accommodate dogs on our trips.
Cancellation: In the event of inclement weather, you will be notified of the cancellation via email by 5:00pm Thursday, July 7th.
