The Lakes Region Conservation Trust is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the conservation of the Castle in the Clouds Conservation Area! Join us this summer on one of our guided hikes to explore this beautiful conserved land!

August 11 is the Sturgeon Moon! Come along with LRCT AmeriCorps members Anna Stockman and Fallon Queeney on this guided full moon hike up to the Oak Ridge Trail viewpoint to view this month’s full moon at its peak, learn fun facts about the moon and planetary systems, setting intentions, and the unique history behind the Sturgeon Moon. The total mileage will be about 2 miles. The trail is rated moderate.
Registration: Registration is required for this event. Please complete our Google Form by clicking the “Sign Up” button below. You will receive a confirmation email, which may take 1-3 days.
Additional Information
Bring/Wear: We ask that participants wear sturdy, waterproof footwear for uneven terrain. Bring water, a headlamp or flashlight, and dress appropriately for the weather. You may consider bringing insect repellent.
Cost: All LRCT guided events are free
Children’s Participation: Please check in with us in advance if you are considering bringing young children on a guided excursion to ensure the trip is appropriate for their skill level.
Dog Policy: To ensure the safety and comfort of participants, we are not able to accommodate dogs on our trips.
Cancellation: In the event of inclement weather, you will be notified of the cancellation via email by 5:00pm Wednesday, August 10th.
