The Lakes Region Conservation Trust (LRCT) is working to permanently protect 127 acres on Mount Pleasant in Tuftonboro and Wolfeboro, and we have now reached our project fundraising goal of $276,500.  This figure includes the purchase price of the land as established by an appraisal, transaction costs, and funds that will be added to LRCT’s Stewardship Fund, which is used to support stewardship, monitoring, and defense for LRCT’s owned conservation lands and conservation easements.

Thank you to the generous individuals, families, and organizations in Tuftonboro, Wolfeboro, and elsewhere who have provided extraordinary support for the project!  We are particularly grateful for a $25,000 gift from the Land Bank of Wolfeboro-Tuftonboro and a $75,000 grant from the NH Land & Community Heritage Investment Program (LCHIP).

We are now working on the remaining transaction details and anticipate that the closing will occur by the end of February, and we look forward to announcing that accomplishment when it occurs.

Again, THANK YOU for your support for the Mt. Pleasant Project!
