Mount Pleasant Property
Tuftonboro & Wolfeboro, NH
The Lakes Region Conservation Trust (LRCT) is working to permanently protect 127 acres on Mount Pleasant In Tuftonboro and Wolfeboro. LRCT’s project fundraising goal is $276,500 includes the purchase price of the parcel as established by an appraisal, transaction costs, and funds that will be added to LRCT’s Stewardship Fund, which is used to support stewardship, monitoring, and defense for LRCT’s owned conservation lands and conservation easements. LRCT is very grateful for the strong support already shown for the Mt. Pleasant project, totaling over $241,500, including a $25,000 gift from the Land Bank of Wolfeboro-Tuftonboro and a $75,000 grant from the NH Land & Community Heritage Investment Program (LCHIP). We now need to raise an additional $35,000 to close the gap and complete this campaign by the December 31st deadline!
This property will provide public access to recreational, nature observation, and educational opportunities for the community, as well as protect wildlife habitat and water resources. Guided walks to the viewpoint are available to those interested in seeing this special property. Please contact LRCT via email at lrct.org or call (603) 253-3301 to arrange your visit.
Final closing documents are being reviewed and need to be approved by LCHIP before the closing is scheduled, but we look forward to announcing that the project is complete and official.
THANK YOU to our generous members who have already contributed to this effort!
